The activities of ASPIRE school and home stay, With the struggle, we was working hard to find sponsors to help children and teach English and other skills to the poor, homeless and orphans in Cambodia. We also create this school to help our children in Cambodia, we have built a school for Khmer & English lesson, arts & craft, computer training skills, a dorm for volunteers or guests to stay in, a Peter Pan’s restaurant, a library, a hall for traditional Khmer dancing and music instrument, a souvenir shop, a chicken coop, a vegetable garden and more. Before COVID, we recruited 35 students from the community to study at ASPIRE for free, and aim to recreate this as soon as possible. We aim to be big enough to eventually teach up to 300 students! then we can continue to spread knowledge of Khmer, English, computer skills, traditional Khmer dancing and musical instruments, growing of tree fruits, vegetable gardening and raising chicken & fishes to the children of Cambodia.
Also as a volunteer here at Aspire you will get the opportunity to live the Cambodian life through their eyes and have an experience of a lifetime. We have had many volunteers come and go through Aspire and they have all left feeling extremely happy that they were able to give back to Cambodia in a way that was contributing to the lives of these underprivileged children that deserve all the help they can get, and to put them in good stead for a brighter future.
Some of the activities will consist of cooking lessons, where you will learn how to create some delicious Cambodian meals. You will also be able to go on a tour around the local communities where you will witness extreme poverty, but knowing you are doing your bit by being at the school and helping aspire to be able to bring these children to the school to give them what they deserve, which is food, water, shelter, education and most important of all safety. Then you will also be able to teach these children English and you get to witness how grateful they are to have you there giving them your valuable time and watching them learn and grow. Other activities consist of helping to grow vegetables, building work, general maintenance and cleaning and also there will also be the option of helping with computer skills in the future.
